I've been a bad MUA *sad face*

With every intention of regularly updating this blog I seem to have failed miserably this year, so I’ll be going into 2014 with the intention of being much more proactive in doing so. It is not like I have had nothing to write about either, there has been plenty going on, and excuses have ranged from “I don’t have the time” to “I’d rather be painting faces than talking about painting faces”, but excuses are just that with no real substance to them.

It has been a great joy to be engaged as a make up artist and to have made so many brides happy on their special day, and I have had the privilege of travelling to some amazing venues throughout the Lake District. Just when you thought that you had seen them all another pops up that has staggering views and architecture to savour for a few busy hours, early one morning. My personal highlights have included Linthwaite House Hotel just south of Bowness on Windermere, New House Farm in the Lorton Valley and the Inn On The Lake in Glenridding, Ullswater, to name but a few. All have spectacular views, the venues themselves are immaculately presented and the staff are always so friendly and helpful.

I have had the pleasure of working with some outstanding creative talent, and have seen my work published online and in the national press. I have also been lucky enough to collaborate with like minded professionals, and just watching them do their jobs has been awe inspiring leaving me thinking, at times, “I can’t believe these people want to work with me!”. My favourites have included photoshoots with photographers Karli Harrison and Tommy Martin

I usually keep my Facebook page updated with the result of these collaborations, a couple of my favourites being the following:

Anna on the beach

I am going to leave this here for now and I hope to add some more photos from recent collaborations soon, and I will maybe even talk about my current love affair with Nars eyeshadows! So to close I would just like to wish all former and forth coming clients, associates and fellow professionals a happy and prosperous festive season and I look forward to some more make up magic in 2014!
